Stepping into the future of panel manufacturing
FPL Twin Rod mixing head
Standard setups for panel production require 6 mixing heads, with 3 working and 3 in reserve for when the primary heads need to be cleaned due to chemical buildup. The benefit of our patented Twin Rod setup is that producers can achieve zero downtime with only 3 heads thanks to its dual self-cleaning, alternating, rail-mounted pistons. These heads can be created for 2-component setups, or, for working with fillers, a 4-component version.
Tensioning, guiding, and sensors for double belts
This entire development package is designed to provide greater control over all production parameters during the polymerization process. Over the years, the focus has been on improving and optimizing foam dosing and mixing, often placing less importance on the polymerization process. This innovative package, which allows for greater production stability and control of increasingly longer double belts operating at increasingly higher temperatures, is designed to minimize the gap between the upper slats and the side containment plates. Reducing the gap allows for significant foam savings, with important benefits both in terms of immediate production and savings resulting from managing a smaller amount of disposable waste.
In-flight cross-cutting machine
Patented in 2024, our in-flight cross-cutting machine has no gears, sensors, or pneumatic operations for sizing panels. This translates into less maintenance, better performance and production control, and higher accuracy with the aim of reducing waste to an absolute minimum. Core dust produced during the cutting process can be reintroduced into the line.
Pure dust recycling
In 2025, we patented a pure dust recycling system that allows manufacturers to incorporate chemical or mechanical recycling processes into the production line. For mechanical recycling, the substrates are separated from pure dust directly from the processes that take place in the dry end. The pure dust is collected, continuously mixed with our Solimix machine to form a slurry with the polyol and any other chemicals, directly dosed with our Solistream, and mixed with the patented AX mixing heads.
Predictive maintenance with accelerometers
Manufacturers want to get the most out of their equipment, which means using all resources efficiently throughout an optimized process. To support this, we manufacture patented accelerometers for monitoring system vibrations. This new generation of accelerometers, combined with in-house data analysis and algorithm generation capabilities and Cannon’s proprietary systems for supervising data collected by PLCs, provides a predictive maintenance package that can be applied to every section of the plant, from the rolling analysis of the rollers of a double belt to the efficiency of pumps, fans, guidance and positioning systems, etc.
By continuously innovating across the entire production line, our advanced equipment and technology helps panel manufacturers stay ahead of the competition — delivering greater efficiency, sustainability, and performance today, and readiness for the challenges of tomorrow.
