Semi-solid aluminum plants

VerticAl, our innovative SSM technology, places the metal into its semi-solid state immediately before injection. Starting with any suitable common aluminum alloy, it simultaneously stirs and cools the molten metal directly inside the injection chamber, obtaining a slurry with solid fractions up to 60% (an ice cream-like consistency). Our technology does not require pre-prepared or pre-treated ingots.

Thanks to the microstructure obtained using our VerticAl technology, iron inclusions are much less problematic than in the dendritic structure of conventional high-pressure die casting. This means that recycled alloys processed with our technology will still produce sound, durable parts.
