In-line degassing units

In the wind power market, the trend is moving towards increasing blade size, forcing manufacturers to improve their process. Epoxy resin degassing becomes the key point for wind blade casting in terms of costs and environmental footprint.

Better wind blades through better technology

Our degassing units exploits the principle of vacuum towers, granting a series of advantages:

  • Higher vacuum surface/volume ratio
  • Lower footprint
  • In-line process (degassed in one single cycle)
  • Higher output (up to 150 l/min), achievable with a single unit

The degassing unit consists primarily of:

  • A vacuum tower
  • An electrical heating unit upstream
  • Vacuum pumps (up to 5 mbar)
  • Transfer pumps
  • A cooling station via heat exchanger
  • Automatic control through aPLC
  • An IBC unloading/filling stations
  • A movable skid, only for package solutions

These systems are applicable to diverse types of resin hardeners and resins, including polyols, and different applications (automotive, building, etc.), where removing air bubbles is preferable.
