HP-RTM & WCM lines

Widely used in the automotive and aerospace markets, HP-RTM and WCM produce a fully cured composite part every 90 seconds — depending on your selected chemicals and process parameters. The primary difference between them is that WCM, sometimes referred to as liquid laydown, is used exclusively for less complex parts (almost always 2D), while HP-RTM can handle extremely complex 3D shapes.

Our turnkey plants for HP-RTM & WCM

We provide complete turnkey plants for HP-RTM and WCM with equipment customized to efficiently handle your chosen chemical matrix, including: our LN EPX mixing head, E-System dosing unit, molds, molding presses, dynamic overpacking system (DOS), preformers, stacking lines and automation.

For HP-RTM, our patented and highly-innovative DOS is the perfect solution for managing the common issue of polymerization shrinkage in closed-mold thermoset applications and composite production. It operates through a hydraulically-actuated cylinder that enables a double-sequence injection.

WCM involves applying liquid resin directly onto the fiber reinforcement (e.g., glass or carbon fibers) before placing it in a mold for compression and curing. HP-RTM, on the other hand, injects resin at high pressure into a closed mold containing dry fiber reinforcements, ensuring rapid infiltration and high-quality components.
