Production flexibility with the TCS RotorOne for the Lafert Group

With a new die-casting production line based on Cannon TCS RotorOne 500, Lafert will be able to produce high-quality motors while maintaining a competitive edge in the global market.

The client

The Lafert Group, part of the Sumitomo Group, has been manufacturing electric motors for over 60 years. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, this Italian company has made a strong name for itself around the world.

The challenge

To improve its processes and technology for rotor production, Lafert chose to rely on Cannon’s TCS RotorOne 500, a vertical die-casting machine that offers unparalleled production flexibility and a highly automated process.

Our solution

At the heart of this machine is its unique “3+3 configuration” that allows it to effortlessly manage different aluminum alloys and container sizes. Depending on the product Lafert wants to manufacture, an automated arm picks up the desired alloy from one of the furnaces and pours it into the container, ready to be injected. This adds a significant degree of versatility to their process.

With the production flexibility that TCS RotorOne provides, Lafert will increase its capacity to produce high-quality motors while maintaining a competitive edge in the global market and meeting its customers’ specific needs.

Our supply includes
