Dialynas brings DCPD manufacturing in-house with Cannon’s turnkey production solution

For more than 20 years Dialynas S.A. has been a leading provider of environmental engineering solutions. Specializing in water and wastewater management, the company serves both public and private sector customers throughout Greece and Cyprus, delivering projects that combine technical expertise with a strong commitment to environmental protection.

Dialynas S.A. sourced their large DCPD-made wastewater treatment systems from an overseas supplier for distribution in the Greek market. While this approach successfully supported the business, increasing demand highlighted the advantages of establishing local manufacturing.

By beginning to produce the systems in-house, Dialynas S.A. will eliminate its reliance on imported products, creating a more resilient supply chain while giving them greater control over production and growth.

To bring production in-house, however, they needed more than individual pieces of equipment. The project required a complete manufacturing system for safely processing DCPD using the Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) process, together with a partner able to design, supply and integrate the entire production plant.

To help Dialynas S.A. establish local production, we designed and delivered a fully integrated turnkey manufacturing system tailored to their production objectives and safety requirements.

Rather than supplying individual pieces of equipment, we engineered a complete production plant in which every stage of the process — from raw material storage and metering through molding, process control and part production — was designed to operate as a single, optimized system.

One consideration was the safe processing of dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), a flammable material. To address this, we developed a dedicated nitrogen inerting system that continuously supplies nitrogen directly to the mixing head. By displacing oxygen during processing, the system significantly enhances operational safety while supporting reliable production within an ATEX-compliant manufacturing environment.

For Dialynas, selecting the right partner was just as important as selecting the right technology.

Rather than coordinating multiple suppliers for the press, metering equipment, tooling, process controls and system integration, they wanted a single partner capable of delivering the complete production system.
