A whole new world of possibilities
Combining our extensive expertise in multi-component resin dosing systems, composite processing and leveraging our capabilities in managing new chemical systems we have developed a new range of systems to process pDCPD which takes advantage of RIM and HP-RTM technologies for composites, whether for high output flow rates for large components or lower output flow rates for smaller or complex parts.
No glitches in the matrix
The chosen matrix affects the final product’s overall performance. Epoxies are currently the most common for composite applications but newer pDCPD blends offer interesting alternatives.
PDCPD adheres to the support fibers where before it was difficult to do so; its lower viscosity allows for high flow rates and means the matrix can better impregnate the fibers in the mold. The material’s tensile and flexural strength can be controlled by selecting different supportive fiber layers that will form the stack, from natural fibers to carbon.
Properties of DCPD
- High strength, ductility and toughness
- Excellent resistance to impacts and fatigue
- Withstands exposure to harsh chemicals and environments
- Low moisture absorption
Everything you need for processing pDCPD
We specialize in designing, manufacturing and installing turnkey plants and have developed new solutions for handling pDCPD to maximize its potential and allow you to produce even higher quality parts, including the dosing units, mixing heads, catalyst modules, continuous degassing, presses, molds and tank farms for chemical storage.
The highest quality pDCPD is dependent on perfect dosing of the components. Covering different applications and flow rates, our dosing unit for DCPD is customized to match your application, both for standard mixing ratios and the new 50:1 formulations. To ensure consistency, the machines can be equipped with a data collection system to provide you with real time information on your system.
Our presses are designed not only to fit the dimension of your molded parts, but can tilt, rotate, adapt to restricted production spaces, and incorporate unique demands relating to the process itself, like air evacuation.
Application sectors
Offering excellent resistance at lower temperatures, pDCDP is a good candidate medium or large panels used for cars, buses, trucks, construction equipment and tractors, as well as other smaller recreational vehicles. The parts can be coated with other materials which are applied during the molding process and the final part can be painted.
