Haier adds a third domestic refrigeration plant to their operation

Haier Group, founded in 1984, is a leading global provider of better life and digital transformation solutions. Their new refrigerator plant in Russia will open with an initial capacity of 250,000 units per year, planned to be doubled in a second-phase project.

According to local press, the investment in this new plant is expected to create 500 new jobs and will produce new models based on the energy-saving refrigerators — through a smart combination of modern compressors and highly-efficient insulation — developed over the past few years.

Providing an integrated turnkey plant is never a simple process. Our innovative design for VAI conquered many of the traditional obstacles associated with foaming refrigerator cabinets and guarantees a fast, uniform foam distribution resulting in a superior product with superior performance.

We provided Haier with eight foaming and polymerisation lines, a complete premixing station to prepare the polyol-cyclopentane blend, one A-System PentaTwin dosing unit that feeds two FPL SR mixing heads simultaneously, each head serving four foaming jigs. A complete air extraction system and whole set of safeties completes this innovative production plant’s configuration.

​These foaming plants will take advantage of negative pressure, utilizing a vacuum inside the refrigerator’s wall cavity during the foam injection and during the relevant filling time. VAI technology, applied into the mold cavity filled with rigid polyurethane, facilitates the foam’s expansion into the cabinet, providing numerous benefits.
