An outside-the-box approach to double belts with Ascorium Industries
“Double belts are highly versatile machines with a lot of potential and should not be limited to the singular, standard applications they have come to be known for. Our innovative spirit allows us to see beyond the ordinary, to find and exploit applications that are overlooked for existing technologies.”
Mr. Maximilian Müller, Key Account Manager New Business & Markets, Ascorium Industries

Ascorium Industries: the client
Ascorium Industries, the market leader in premium polyurethane surfaces, is driven by an innovative spirit and passion for cutting-edge technology that services the world’s top automotive brands.
With a focus on lightweight, eco-friendly products, Ascorium Industries helps their customers meet and overcome the environmental challenges posed by market demands while maintaining the superb haptics and durability they are known for. To help bring their new CompoLite® material to life, Ascorium Industries chose us.
The challenge
Each project has its own set of challenges. For the specific application this line required, the primary challenge was managing numerous diverse substrates. Then, the high density of the materials coupled with the necessity to process remarkably thin products while maintaining a demanding level of accuracy.
Ascorium will use this continuous line to produce an innovative material called CompoLite® for parts that are not the standard PIR or PF boards and sandwich panels continuous lines are known for. With this forward-thinking approach to mass production via double belt, Ascorium demonstrates how truly versatile these lines are.
Our solution
Covering the entire production process all the way through board cutting, our supply also equipped the dry end with side milling and our newly patented in-flight cross-cutting machine. The C-System, our expertly-engineered and versatile dosing unit, was well-suited to their unique high-density formula.
Ascorium’s incredible engineering team worked side-by-side with us, significantly contributing to the finalization of this successful project.
Solution advantages
- Gearless, sensorless in-flight cross-cutting machine
- Multilayer unwinding processing
