Inspired by the CarDio® gate bar and developed by Cannon Viking, the LayDown Master is a distribution device aimed at slabstock producers using conventional LLD or Maxfoam Trough machines. The LayDown Master was specifically developed to evenly distribute liquid PUR across the foaming conveyor’s entire width before it reacts. It requires fewer modifications to existing hardware and can be (retro)fitted to nearly all existing foam production lines.
LayDown Master benefits
Our technology avoids using a traversing mixing head, while providing uniform foam laydown across the whole width of the conveyor. This helps deliver a more regular cell structure across the block. The LayDown Master is excellent for highly reactive foams, like MDI, viscoelastics and high resiliency foams and produces optimum quality foams due through LLD by avoiding pinholes and build-up.

How the LayDown Master works
The LayDown Master is a kit you can install on new or existing production lines, requiring minimal downtime, and works with low-pressure, partial high-pressure, and high-pressure technologies. It features a slot wide enough to allow you to use high viscosity blends and solid fillers — important for ensuring consistent foam quality. The slot is easily adjustable for accommodating different foam grades by inserting spacers, reducing downtime to the absolute minimum.
